Where is the love?

Demanding jobs, hectic lifestyles, kids, friends who complain that they’ve forgotten what you look like... welcome to the life of the young, urbane couple. Yuppies (young urban professional) are juggling more balls than they can handle, trying to balance the many spheres of their lives. However, this balancing act can often take a toll on your relationship. When was the last time you shared a quiet meal with your spouse or had a heart-to-heart chat
about a topic apart from children, family or work? This is the most common recipe for growing distances in relationships.
Here’s how you can avoid this scenario and still find quality time for your marriage.
Set aside a chunk of time in the day or week reserved only for the two of you. Remember the time when you shared your most beautiful, farfetched dreams with your spouse? Well, why should you stop now?
If both of you are fitness conscious, try enrolling in a gym and working out together. You can also take an activity class together. Whatever it is, just make sure both of you go.
Take a holiday. No matter how busy you are or how many family holidays you’ve had, reserve at least one vacation just for the two of you. This will help strengthen your bond and rediscover lost love. It will help you see your spouse as you first saw them, as your soulmate.
Romance each other. Remember the time when you used to send each other random
texts? Do it again. Declare your undying love and devotion through impromptu SMSs. Your spouse will be taken aback by this sudden burst of love. Romance does not have to be by any rule book, do it as you like as you think would excite your spouse.
Dress up for each other. Once upon a time you wouldn’t be caught dead with unwaxed limbs or bushy eyebrows. Why should it be any different now. Take time to look your best. Your spouse will appreciate and reciprocate the effort. Also, the fact that you’re trying so hard for them, will make them feel extra special and you’ll enjoy the fruits.
